Hosted jointly by the Process Industry Branch of China Mechanical and Electrical Integration Technology Application Association and the National Expert Group on Chemical Instrumentation and Control, this conference focused on empowering new quality productive forces with instrumentation and control technology. It deeply discussed the evolution of technical standards, the application of instruments in harsh working conditions and engineering implementation practices around the development direction of intelligence, greening and compliance of the coal chemical industry. In his report *Hierarchical Control and Predictive Maintenance of Instrument Equipment*, Zhao Junsong pointed out that in accordance with the latest national standards *GB/T 44692.1-2024 Equipment Integrity of Hazardous Chemicals Enterprises 

- Part 1: Requirements for Management Systems* and *GB 45673-2025 General Specification for Work Safety Standardization of Hazardous Chemicals Enterprises*, hazardous chemicals enterprises are encouraged to adopt digital and intelligent technologies for equipment integrity management. The standards require establishing and maintaining management procedures for equipment inspection, testing and preventive maintenance. One of the key foundations for predictive maintenance is massive, high-quality data covering the full life cycle of instrument equipment. This undoubtedly raises new requirements for field instruments in data collection capability, transmission bandwidth and openness, far exceeding those of the traditional 4-20mA mode.

Ye Xiangdong delivered an in-depth interpretation of *SH/T 3081-2025 Code for Design of Instrument Grounding in Petrochemical Industry*, which will take effect on July 1, 2026 and replace SH/T 3081-2019. 

*GB/T 3081-2025 Code for Design of Lightning Protection and Static Electricity Grounding of Instrument Systems in Petrochemical Industry* 4.3 Grounding of Intrinsic Safety Systems 

4.3.1 Intrinsic safety systems adopting isolated safety barriers shall not be grounded. 

4.3.2 Intrinsic safety systems adopting Zener safety barriers shall be connected to the common terminal of the DC power supply via a busbar. 4.6 Lightning Protection Grounding 

4.6.2 Surge protectors installed in the control room shall adopt metal rail mounting type, and the mounting rail shall serve as the grounding busbar. 

4.6.4 The grounding conductor of the surge protector assembled on field instruments shall be connected to the internal grounding terminal of the instrument.
