On May 19, 2026, the 2nd Meeting of the Drafting Working Group for the National Standard Technical Specifications of Safety Relays for Machinery Safety was held in Shanghai. The meeting was hosted by SAC/TC208 National Technical Committee for Machinery Safety Standardization (with China Machinery Productivity Promotion Center as its secretariat) and organized by Shanghai Chenzhu Instrument Co., Ltd.

Concurrently, the National Technical Committee for Machinery Safety Standardization awarded Shanghai Chenzhu the qualification of National Demonstration Base for Mechanical Safety Standardization Application and Innovation, making Chenzhu a representative construction entity of this base in East China.

Focus on Mechanical Safety Standards

This meeting brought together industry experts to conduct in-depth discussions on the key technical contents of the national standard Technical Specifications of Safety Relays for Machinery Safety.

As a core component of machinery safety control systems, improving the technical standards of safety relays lays a fundamental foundation for enhancing the intrinsic safety level of mechanical equipment and unifying industrial technical specifications, and provides pivotal support for the high-quality development of the industry.

Inauguration of the Demonstration Base

The National Demonstration Base for Mechanical Safety Standardization Application and Innovation is a key platform launched by SAC/TC208 to deepen standard implementation and boost technological innovation and industrial application.

The base will integrate resources from government, industry, universities, research institutes, users and inspection institutions, opening up the full life cycle chain of "innovation – patent – standard – demonstration". It serves as a core carrier to drive the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector and enhance China’s international discourse power in mechanical safety standards.

At the ceremony, Zhang Xiaofei, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Machinery Safety Standardization, presented the plaque to Shanghai Chenzhu. Li Danping, General Manager of Shanghai Chenzhu, Chen Runjie, Secretary-General of TC436 National Technical Committee for Packaging Machinery Standardization, and other experts attended and witnessed the event.

Ms. Zhou Ting, Vice Chairman and Chief Safety Technical Expert of Chenzhu, delivered a speech on behalf of the company:"We sincerely thank the Standardization Committee for its trust and support. The plaque is both an honor and a responsibility." She promised to advance the base construction in three dimensions:

-Promote standard publicity and upgrade safety concepts, driving the shift of safety awareness from "required to be safe" to "want to be safe" and "know how to be safe".

-Conduct technological innovation verification and advance the internationalization of standards.

-Build exchange platforms and promote industrial integration.

Join Hands for a Shared Future

Looking ahead, mechanical safety must be deeply integrated with intelligence and digitalization. Chenzhu is planning to build a physical base integrating an Immersive Experience Center for Automated Safety, a Technical Verification Laboratory and a Demonstration Line for Intelligent Factory Safety, providing all-round support for the industry in concept popularization, technical verification and talent training.
